About Me

Jennifer head shot.jpg

I provide individual counseling for those struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, anger, trauma, grief, self-esteem/self-confidence issues, adjustment issues, relationship/family issues, social/communication skills, OCD, school/occupational problems, and ADHD. Through empathy, I strive to gain a thorough understanding of each client's context and unique perspective, and view each counseling relationship as a collaborative endeavor.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. I then obtained my Professional Certification in Elementary Education, focusing on creating a risk-free environment for learning, meeting the unique social and academic needs of each child, helping students build positive self-concepts, and guiding and supporting families. I also gained experience as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor helping clients to develop and implement independent life skills and strategies.

I earned my Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University and worked at a thriving private practice, gaining invaluable experience with individuals of various populations, ages, and issues. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, the Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida, and The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

I feel that my educational, professional, and personal life experiences have provided me with a strong foundation of patience, love, understanding, and compassion; along with the critical skills, knowledge, and insight; to provide my clients with genuine and effective guidance and support.
